I had a lot of fun writing this one.

I almost feel like I didn't spend enough time with the mastering, but that probably has to do with the fact that the task would be completely overwhelming because of how much is actually going on. Maybe one day I'll come back to it and remaster it.

But that doesn't mean that it isn't fantastic - personally I love the piece. That bassline gets stuck in my head every time I hear it, too.

Also know I debated for a while whether to put this on creative commons or not - I liked the themes that much. I guess NG got lucky again, because here it is.

I hope you appreciate this piece as much as I do, and as much as I did making it. Comment/Review, I'll try and return the favour (you can always PM me if I forget - or if you just want a review anyway). Cheers all.

Not bad,now lets see how far up you can keep going

Uplifting in itself doesnt fully cover this. Its a message of hope, and the peace and sense of "things are gonna be alright" that comes from this song that makes it a complete piece. Although, considering you probably know who is behind this, I feel you'll know exactly why I say that I despise the tenor sax sound that is in here, and how incredibly canned it sounds kinda takes the song out of its own context and gives it something that shouldn't be there. The piano and slight techno aspects later on give it a better sense though. Still, you're definatly growing as an artist here. Glad to see it. Still, I'd like to see where you go as far as up goes.

ObsidianSnow responds:

XD I figured you might hate the tenor part. Unfortunately, it's extremely difficult to get saxophone patches to sound real. Perhaps next year, while I'm doing my Bachelor's of music, I'll be able to track down some solid players and a recording studio to make my own patches...

Mind you, the tenor part here is literally impossible to play. You find me someone who can play that high on a tenor and I think my head would explode.

Thanks for the review, Selene. ;)

Perfect pick me up song. 5 and DL from me, keep on rockin' my man.

ObsidianSnow responds:

Thanks for the review, bud. :)

Just right.

The intro sounds reminds me of the music from Maple Story (which is superb...in places :P)
But it is good. Overall an astounding job.

ObsidianSnow responds:

lol I've never played MapleStory, and I won't be convinced that it's a good idea. But I'm glad you liked it, KB1PKL. Thanks for the review!

maybe the piano is a bit too spastic at some places: also very loud played, as if the "pianist is playing with his fists :P, but for the rest I like it a lot. I love the sax! It reminds me a bit of the sims 2 music at times xD, only a bit faster (and more spastic).

But it still deserves a 10/10 and a 5/5. No mixing issues for me, but I'm not very good at mixing so... XD

greatings, MW-Audio (Mjattie)

ObsidianSnow responds:

Haha, well having it compared to the music from the sims isn't such a bad thing - I thought a lot of the music in the series was well done, and the themes were well presented.

Thanks a lot for your review, MWA! (And I promise I'll get around to those reviews sometime soon, sorry they've been put off so long ;P )

As i told you just before you left google talk, the intro is TOTALLY World-map music for an RPG

Love it dude :D

ObsidianSnow responds:

haha, yeah, the oboe does seem to have that effect. I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks for the review, bud!
