The Nightmare before Christmas bares no relationship with the identically named film. This piece was composed during the Christmas holiday period, after I went for a walk at night for a break from studying. I witnessed a fox stalk and kill another animal. Later that night I had a nightmare about the event. I chose to illustrate the nightmare within the music.
