I pulled every trick I know out of the bag for this one. Some of the tricks didn't work with the song. I put those ones back in the trick bag. mraw.

I find this usefull.

I enjoy how this feels...I'm going to use it to set the mood next time I do a horror story with my friends.

Ohhhhhhhhh

Dis ol' song brings back such good memriez, no srsly, this is probably one of da first songs ive ever listend from you! And it STILL sounds epic!

Quarl responds:

lol, damn man. i've been trying to make a dnb for a while but I can't make a reese I'm happy with any more. Thanks for liking this older tune :)

Neat!

This would sound really cool as a boss theme in a game. It has a serious and cool thrilling feel to it. Makes me think of a fast-paced epic battle with some kind of weird monster. :D
Good job! :)

to darkling666 and Quarl

i think this would classify as dubstep. until 1.56 every snare is on the third count (dubstep), then switches to a drum and bass count of 2 and 4. not trying to sound like an ass or anything. i've just been interested in this sort of shit way too long. i love dubstep, drumstep, and especially dnb. so to Quarl, kudos on a badass "dubstep track", favorited. just deep and dark enough to make the head bob like i was on something crazy. makes me want to bring the old tables out and get some cd tts (finances providing). done. - Peace

Quarl responds:

haha, thanks man... but this is definitely drum and bass. dub step existed almost 10 years prior to it's coined name as the introduction to every drum and bass song ever written. the main difference between the two genres is tempo, not rhythm... also the snare never hits 4 past the drop. Lets look at the beat closer and divide by 16th notes. That 4/4 snare your looking for would normally land on the 12th 16th note. In the first measure of the pattern the snare lands on 3/16 , 4/16, 6/16, 8/16 and 10/16. Then the second measure responds with a snare on 3/16, 4/16 and 10/16.

not trying to sound like an ass or anythin ;)

amazing song for the occasion. umm... something to improve on... umm... play around with it and try to remix/tweek it so it would fall under a differnt sub-catagory of drum/bass n techno.
personally i would have made the high pitched thingy more grimy, but thats me, i enjoy filthy beats.

Awesome job though, keep it up!
