Jazzy, Funky Zombies

Alright, since people apparently like STORIES with their music lol, I decided to give it another shot.

The general idea is that the undead (or whatever you want to call them) somehow got synthesizers and a drum kit into their graves, and are jamming down there. They then decide to bring it up to the surface during the night time (represented by the very beginning). After a couple solos, they realize they've been going all night, so they head back into their caskets, still playing all the way (represented by the very end of the song).

...However, in the process of jamming, several innocent civilians were eaten as party snacks.

Hey, if I was stuck underground for 100 years, I'd be pretty damn hungry, so don't start pointing fingers.

Really nice

So this was a really nice track here with all the sound here I did think you could have even more depth and it could even be longer but honestly this was nice and with the drum element about really made it stand out even more so really nice work and hope you make more like this and longer of course but untill next time I like what you have prepared here today and do please make more

~~SUGGESTED IDEAS~~
A fee things mentioned above

~X~

Nice work

I like how the intro starts how soft and soon implements a drum beat into it as well, very nice piece of work you did here.

Drums: Very nice and simply layed out drum beat you got going there.

Synth: Another simple part of the beat, really liked it.

Overall: Awesome work.

Listening to this I kind of get the feel as if I were in some very odd place where despite it looking strange and all everyone is trying to help you out and even giving you weapons to use on the zombies in the city.

I want to say "ya, my music'll do that sometimes", but it doesn't lol. I like the image though. Glad you liked it!

Slow and steady

Not a bad piece, but I'm unsure about the name - Zombies have never really been associated with Jazz. I think that this might be something that could be worked over pretty easily though.

The pace is good and the sentiments of the track are certainly there for a nice, mellow, easy going track, but perhaps it's a little slow. With this as it is, you could certainly stand a little increase in pace, because Jazz being laid back isn't just about making it sound slow and borderline boring.

Birdinator99 responds:

Thanks for the review -- I appreciate your honesty! I really don't have an explanation for the zombie thing lol. Also, slow music is where I tend to lean to (when creating, at least). I probably should make faster pieces once and while for sure.

Awesome

I like this a lot, it has the jazzy feel that comes with funky. Only thing I'd say is the drums are a tad too loud, and the lead synth I wasn't so sure about. Though it got me bopping and clicking and that most certainly deserves a 10 ;D.

Birdinator99 responds:

Ya, you're totally right about the drums -- I had a hunch the snare was too loud. Glad you liked it, though!

Nice story

I like the story you present in the comments, it gave me a good laugh (especially the last sentence).

The intro and outro work pretty well when imagining that some zombies come out of their graves and go back into it at the end.

The jam session sounds pretty nice, but I think the song needs a bit more work. I think the first riff is played a tad bit too long. It only changes at around 1:23. While it sounds nice it gets a bit repetitive before you finally change it.

Also I would like to hear some kind of drum solo in here as well and maybe even a bass solo if you can come up with one.
This would give all of the instruments some exposure and in my opinion it would make the song sound more interesting.

Birdinator99 responds:

Thanks for the review! Glad I got the intro/outro working. Hmmm... Drum and bass solos actually sound like a good idea... That'd be pretty interesting just to give it a shot. *Ideas forming*
