Your standing at the peak of a very large cliff. You have a black board in your hands. You close your eyes and feel the wind touch your face. You take a few steps back, and begin to run. You jump off of the cliff and attach your feet on the board in one swift movement. Now you ride through the air and move gracefully over the wind. The cliff roars behind you and you dart towards the ground. Just before you hit, you swing into the air and begin to fly on your board. You fly past trees and houses. You fly past a town and move higher into the air. Clouds breeze over your body as you climb higher and higher. Finally, you go past the clouds and see the sun. Birds fly next to you as you grab the wind around you and shoot higher. The birds can not follow you any longer. You climb farther. Finally, you reach the edge of the Ozone layer and shoot out into the emptyness of space. You slowly drift out into the cold and your body turns to ice. Then you dissapear into the black.

I worked on this song for a few months, but most of the time was spent thinking. I got all my instruments made and then began to play different tunes on my Mac Computer Keyboard. I finally started playing the song three days ago and finished it just a few moments before posting it. I used Garageband Version 2.0.2 which really posed a challenge for me because Garageband is a VERY limited program. I used one pre-set drum loop, but changed it drastically. Everything else was played on my Mac Computer Keyboard. If anyone would like to help me create better drums, please help hehe.

Enjoy, review, whatever! :D

It's quite an accomplishment to make someone feel calm and peaceful through a song. Great job!

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Im glad I did, that was one of my main goals when making this.

You did WHAT on a mac?

Great, relaxing song. I'm just surprised you managed to pull it off with, of all things, a mac.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

I think you mean Garageband. A mac can do INCREDIBLE things in production. In fact, thats what they are made for! Garageband, however, is made for people who are too busy to make their own music so they just combine loops together for backgrounds on projects and commercials. I use no loops :)

simply amazing!

I'm very amazed that you did this all with garage band. I use it myself and i've never been able to create something like this. great job, please make more of this kind of music!!!

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

Id love to! It is really fun to do, and I am still trying to think up new ways of creating music with such a limited program. You would be surprised at how many plugins there are, but I have never used them in a song heh. Most of the time I just experiment with them.

maybe could've added some bass? but then again, like you said, garage band is a limited program, so I wouldn't know. I'm also not much of a musician. I liked it all the same though, it had an eeriness to it, which I like.

keep making music and such.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

You are so right. BASS. I need to learn how to add that in, but I thought this song was far too complicated as it was so another layer might have been over kill. I will add Bass in my next song which will be really trippy and funky, Pink Floyd style.

Very cool

And your description is spot on. This reminds me a little of some of the tracks on the Equilibrium Motion Picture Score. Nicely done.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

I am sooo surprised people agree with me on that description... now thats cool :D
