Oh, well I trailed off from the beginning in order to try to get some variety. It was basically a bunch of oscillator tunes I made up that I smashed together into a song, hence the name "Oscillator Fun". Some may not fit perfectly, but I tried to make it flow as smoothly as I could from one melody to the next
Atleast you enjoyed the beginning :D
Thanks for the review!
Fuck wit dat bass
that's exactly what I wanted to do man.
Great song man. The drums aren't all that "drum n bassy", but that's ok, not a bad song. Maybe you'd consider it a dance song >_>
Anyway, don't care, awesome song.
Yeah lol Flared24 also alerted me about the fact that this song isn't really DnB, which I will fix asap. You also believe it's a dance song, so dance it is :)
I'm really glad you enjoyed my song and I thank you for your review!
a few problems
you never want dance influences to be mixed with drum and bass. when you have electro-like melodies, it really takes away from the feel of dnb. your bass is incredibly high and a bit too plain (needs more of a raw noise, more fine adjustments).
and your drums are obviously fl studio. when you produce professional tracks, you don't want default program samples to be heard. i suggest finding real breaks and cutting them up with the fruity slicer, or making realistic drums by layering, compressing, and changing pitches.
hope this helps
I was always unsure as to what genre this song was but thought DnB was the closest at the time of the upload. It was more me making a song and calling it DnB, not me try to make a DnB song specifically from the start D:
I will try to change the genre since I now know it isn't really a DnB song, maybe it's dance like you said? ("you never want 'dance influences' to be mixed with drum and bass")
Thanks for the review! It did help a lot for both categorizing the song and for when I make DnB songs in the future (will try not to use default snares).
Very nice!
The bass was captured nicely, and the pad was well laid out. Playing this through my SkullCandy "Skullcrusher" headset which has a bass-amplified subwoofer. Sounds amazing! Keep up the good work!
Dam a headset with a subwoofer, want sooo baaadly!
I'm glad you enjoyed the bass in this song, I know I did when I was making it lol :D
Thanks for the review!
