This song is dedicated and in loving tribute to my dearly departed dad. You'll be missed, pops.

+ R.I.P. Andy Durnford : November 11, 1950 - December 4, 2009 +

I started this song after returning home from Florida where my father had been staying. I gotta say, it's a relief to have a creative outlet such as music for helping to channel grief and the other miseries of life. I would definitely not feel the way I do about life if not for my music.

I got the intro and chorus/verse done before I left for a vacation to St. Maarten and created the bridge and fleshed out the rest of the track when I returned, more relaxed and not so crazy. This is probably my most full-sounding and properly eq'd piece to date. Have spent the past 2 days almost solid working on it to get it how I wanted.

Kinda sad, but uplifting melody -- definitely catchy though. :d As usual, made entirely in Reason 4.0.The intro is definitely daft punk influenced though I came up with it quite by accident when I was messing around with the sequencer in Thor.

The two organs are courtesy of the Electro-Mechanical Refill pack that's currently free for download for registered Reason users on the propellerheads website -- it's sick! Tried a little something different with the drums this time, I'm loving rex files.

As usual, please rate/review/enjoy. :)

Impressed Again

Really liked this one again. Has a bit of a different style while still maintaining your distinctive sound, glad to see that. Once again, no real techy comments, but still greatly enjoyed it. Thanks for the PMs :)

durn responds:

:) Glad you liked it, SilvWolf. Thanks for the kind words.

It speaks for itself...

I really don't need to say much, because the song's tune is just catchy. The song basically speaks for itself. Also, I'm very sorry for your loss. It must have been hard getting over it.
5/5 10/10

durn responds:

Thanks for the condolences, Injabie3. :) Having music for expression definitely helps.

i like it

i listened to it like you asked and i liked it its real good but the part at about 2 min 14 sec in my opinion which doesnt really matter i think you make the part go on just a bit to long and it makes me think of a skipping record i'd skim that part down by about 1 to 2 sec but thats just me. i also like how you changed the beat up and its not just the same thing over and over i also like it how you add different background beats. overall a nice melody and i think you should make one similar

durn responds:

Yeah, some people aren't liking the build at 2 min in. Supposed to be a bit of a mindtrip though. :) Ah well, not gonna work for everyone I suppose. :) Glad you liked it enough to give a 10 regardless. :D

Thanks for the swell review, cody218. :)
