Never played, but...
..now I want to, lol. Anyway, I wanted to comment on the fact that as I was listening, there were parts were the violin actually sounded like it was electronic, but that's pretty much my only beef with this song. As always, though, I'm stunned by your remixes, and I would REALLY, REALLY love to see a completely original piece from you. I'm sure it would be on par with the likes of Reasoner (one of my favorite artists) or someone else. Maybe Kelwynshade, too.
Anyway, I was listening to some of your works that I'd downloaded while taking my dogs outside for the night, and I actually began to envision a scene in my head accompanying the music...Not all that strange, I suppose, maybe even intentional, but it was very clear to me then. I just thought I'd jot it down for you to see, since your music is so engaging.
Gray clouds roil overhead whilst the wind whips over a stormy sea...Atop a jetty stands a single woman, clutching herself with bowed head. Tears seep from her eyes as she stands, lost in a reverie of the past. White foam cascades up from three sides as the waves crash against the rocks below, and yet, she trembles not from fear nor cold, but from loss and grief....
The scene fades to pure white, and therein can a pair of deep chocolate eyes be seen, fading slowly into view. Below them, a warm smile forms, a man's smile, and behind his eyes and wide, happy mouth can his face be seen. Her thoughts switch from his warm, loving face to tender moments shared between them: the holding of hands and walks along the beach, candlelight dinners, playful kisses, and moments of shared passion. And yet all of it is seen through the hopeless filter of her depression.
In the end, she uncurls herself from her own clutches, raising her face to the sky. The rain pelts her skin, mingling with the tears there, and she cries aloud, raising her arms as if seeking answers from the gray overhead. None are forthcoming, and slowly, hesitantly, she steps toward the sea.
What she does not see is the man behind her, his expression pained and afraid. He knows what she is about to do, and he won't allow it, for she is the most precious thing in his life, though she knows not of his love for her, though they have been together since childhood.
She is a step away from the end, and she leans toward the crashing ocean, intending to be with the one she loves forevermore. Her tears are dry now--she is resolved, but even as she falls, her arms outstretched like wings, her friend's strong arms catch her and pull her back, holding her tightly to his chest. She looks back and her eyes widen when she sees it was him that stopped her. Words spill from his lips, a plea, a confession of his feelings, and she listens with wonder to his shouting over the wind and the waves.
She smiles, her hands cupping against his own as her head bows once more, hiding the tears she's shedding now. She loves him, too, she realizes, and turns in his arms to tell him so. More words are exchanged, and the scene fades to black as the two step back from the edge of the jetty, turn, and go back to his car, his arms about her slender shoulders, guiding and holding her...
=D Kind of a strange scene to envision while letting the dogs do their jobs in the middle of a snowy night far from a rainy coast, but that's what I saw and felt....Anyway, like I said, I hope you make something totally original so I can envision strange scenes for you whilst enjoying myself. ^^
If you're dying to hear an original, go to http://www.myspace.com/alisahight for my original work.
Just keep in mind these pieces were recorded several years ago--my vocals have matured greatly since then.
Also, I'd like to thank you for your work on this review. That image was so tangible I could feel myself as the woman in the rain.
I bow to a fellow creative soul, and am honored that you found my piece worthy of such praise.
(I will also PM this to you; I apologize for the redundancy)
I am still a huge fan of ToS. You have done a tremendous job on fitting Colette's character. Another character that I truly feel only you could do proper justice to would be Kratos. Just a suggestion ^_^
Keep up the good work Alisa. You can go very far.
Thank You ^_^
I appreciate hearing from someone like you who is familiar with Tales of Symphonia.
You have the most amazing voice! I thought it was good, but when it got to 1:00, it became truly epic! Thank you for posting this!
Thank you for the rave review ^_^
Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

Lolz you flatter me.
But thank you, that's very nice of you to say. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Holy crap amazing! I loved this very much.
