House // Electro // Industrial // (D'n'B?).

For the Audio Death Match Contest. [First Contestant Entry] Brought back some of my old rhythms and dusted them off. I tried to reduce distortion as much as possible with out losing all the volume (but hey lets face it, distortion is part of the song at this point).

i've been broadening my horizons music wise, and this is definately far off from what i usually listen to. excellente!

This is some awesome material! I'd definitely put it in the industrial section. It has some incredible distortion and well crafted beats. It's simply a great blend of sounds.

Hmm thats weird, I thought I updated it a while ago to put in that genre, must have slipped my mind.

Thx for the reminder! (and review of course ;))

Decent effort...

Not exactly house. Would've fit more under electro or industrial. However, its a fantastic piece. Amazing buildups and transitions. the intro was slightly wierd however although it provided a nice dark build up to the main melody. backgrounds were slightly repetitive however and ending was slightly abrupt.

P.S This is your judging review from NGADM Round 1. I posted it for ya just cos its always nice to have more reviews.

That is very ture, it is always nice to have reviews, thanx a lot! I tried it under industrial (and obviously there is no electro section ;P) and they didn't think it fit there, but I personally agree with you.

Thanx for the review!

...but I have to admit, this is extremely well crafted noise. There is no melody whatsoever, the distortion makes the song sound like its raping the speakers, but its still tolerable to listen to, which I consider an impressive feat. When you aren't abusing the limiter to hell and back, the production is very, very well done. Sadly you waste this once the song starts distorting itself into insanity.

djInTheDark responds:

The reason why it is so distorted is because of the time constraints of the contest I had to get it in before I could properly master it. And does a song always have to have a central melody? This is contributed to the time limit because I didn't have enough time to sit down and right one. And also, I don't use a limiter, or compressor. I believe that if you can't control your own levels and values, you leave the song to fate.

Hell yeah.

Big choone, lmfao. It was really weird in the beginning, but the dark buildup was sweet. It was distorted, evil and it made me want to choke a bitch, in the good way.

Quite honestly, no criticism. To short though! EXTEND THIS BEAST.

Bangin' track. Good luck in the contest!

Yeah I gotta fix that intro before the build up. Thanx for the analogy, I'll use as a pick up at my next show (;].
