Only twenty years old and he's already been named as one of the Beatt Apes top "New Artists of 2009". A producer and DJ, Fancy Mike has been featured on the December 2009 Cosmopolyphonic Radio Mix along with the likes of Elaquent, Flako, Samiyam, Teebs, Mount Kimbie, mndsgn, monopoly and devonwho. "Hipster Crack" is his new single. While there still is no word of a full length release, Fancy Mike keeps perfecting his craft with every song release. Having just released the "Fancy Mike EP" earlier this year, we now await for a possible second EP sometime in 2010.

I love it

When I listen this..

I don't hear the note as annoying, but kinda think of the note as additional hi hat kinda. This song goes directly to your psyche, in my opinion.

Loving it.

This is awesome.
I"lll keep an ey yaosnd fyoure tsutff.

Ouch...Repetitive note hurts my ears. A lot! Only one melody i could decipher and that was overpowered by that dang annoying note. No rhythm either. I couldnt figure out any use of a regular beat here. Im sorry, but this needs a lot more work.

P.S This is your judging review from NGADM Round 1. I posted it for ya just cos its always nice to have more reviews.

Some next level Ish

You really think so?

There's a single melodic line, but other then that, you literally play the same stupid note approximately 200 times over the course of the entire song. the "Song" in this case is a bunch of random FX noises and painful synths. You'd think that'd it follow some sort of regular beat too, but the rhythm is so absurd i can only identify it through the occasional melodic playings.

It sounds like you actually have the ability to make decent music, but its lost in whatever the heck this "thing" that you have submitted is. It's a lot of very strange samples that have been mangled beyond all recognition in some kind of bizzare attempt at making a song that is simply too random for it to make sense. The fact that it's painful to listen to at times does not help.

But hey, the production is good, even if you have totally ridiculous sidechaining. But I think totally ridiculous side-chaining is a part of the genre itself so I'll ignore it.
