So, this is my first attempt ever to make a song with Fruity Loops (Sounds like a cereal to me to be honest), and I combined Fruity Loops with real-life guitar recording. More though went into techniques, effects and sound rather then actually writing a masterpiece on this one, so sorry about that - hope you'll enjoy it anyways.

Yes, ONE of the drum loops were pre-made in Fruity Loops Drum Machine. The rest were written by me.

Solo (as if, the whole Real-Life lead guitar) is completely improvised, and it's a single recording take. I wanted it to be "authentic", know what I mean? So, kudos to myself on that.

Equipment -
- Gibson Les Paul BFG (shmexy).
- Zoom G2 Multi-Effect pedal.
- Dunlop's "Cry Cry Wylde" Zack Wylde Wah-Wah pedal (It's awful, don't buy it. Get the regular one.)
- Fender Frontman 15R Amp.
- Behringer Podcastudio USB.
- Fruity Loops 9.0 XXL Demo.

Please wait until it fully starts - Something like 1:00 - before you cast your vote. The best part in my opinion was the ending - hope you like it!

Vote, review, download, and then worship me for all eternity! Thanks :)

Great Stuff!

Thought it'd say thanks and give you a review. Good song, especailly considering it's the first time you made a song with that program.

I would recommend letting in the loops for guitar by doing creshendos, i've done that for a while and it makes it seem like it was prepared more.
I'd have said 9/10 but it's the first time you used that program, and anything less than 10 doesn't fit for this song. Great stuff. + (Yeah, the crybaby seems better)
5/5

thecoreman responds:

Thanks mate! I'll try to take the tip into consideration, I'm trying different things with different programs to see what will fit me more, but that's certainly a good way to go about it.

Thanks for the review, hope you enjoyed my song!

Sounds like an old green day song

I think you've put together something solid here. It sounds good, and you're definitly getting good at putting Fruity Loops compositions together. There are a few things that bugged me though:
-I can't really hear the base drum (try EQing the different drum parts seperately and also EQing your guitar).
-I don't get a general sense of the dynamics, ie the song doesn't build or fall in energy, it just kinda stays in the same relative place after the guitar comes in
-add more instruments!!

For your first forray into Fruity Loops it is definitly a solid foray, so keep on working at it! I also really dig composing some of the song in Fruity loops and then playing a real guitar over it, it's a cool way to do things. Good job senor!

thecoreman responds:

Thanks mate. I hate the Green Day comparison (that's me, sorry) but besides that you pretty much nailed it. See, the problam is, I'm running the demo version. So no save feature = no time to write/make things better. Still looking for a way to pirate my version, but whatever.

I'll look into the EQing thing, don't know how to do that yet. I'll try it though. About the energy thing - correct, but with an 8 hour time limit, it's pretty tough to write a song :P

Thanks a lot, mate.
