The song is pretty self-story-telling, but I just though I'd give a little help. A young boy receives a black stoned music box and is told that as a "rite of passage" he must bring it to the top of the mountain and return it to its altar to rest.

I hope y'all enjoy this, I worked a good while on this

P.S.: The drum only sounds like it's clipping, it isn't really. If it really becomes bothersome i'll find a different drum.

Reviews

Compelling piece

It does tell the story quite nicely, although just a few things I didn't like about it; first was the bass spikes in the first half, which crackled and were annoying. Also ranting on the first half, it was just boring. One could argue that it represents the tedious climb to the mountain top, but it was just long and repetitive, step after step. The second half however was phenomenal, I really don't see anything I would have changed in it.

So, 5/5 9/10 because of the first part.

Thanks much, indeed the first half is boring, it's a build to the mountain climbing part. I envisioned his grandfather explaining to him what he has to do, then the raunchy horns come in as an annotation of deep thought. Yea the bass spikes a little, I'll try to fix it. I did this half asleep last night haha.

Thanks much,

-Aeris

*update: Apparently the drum I used is meant to sound like that. It's not spiking at all, just sounds like it is.
