Electronic - Dubstep

Author Comments

I'm not entirely sure what this new "dub step" thing is but here's my attempt at the genre. From what I've heard I'd probably like the genre. I'm just not that interested at the moment in doing any extra homework. The songs not done but I'm not too sure where I want to take it. Any links you can give me that will instantly make me a pro dub step producer would be helpful. Maybe an artist or two to look into?

Great dub

The selling point of dubstep is the bass - rich, growly, and distorted with the LFO going wild throughout the song. That, plus some half-time electronic drums and a few effects will make a dubstep song, though creativity won't hurt either :P

I hate dubstep, but I love this song! I mean, dubstep is cool, but most of it sounds exactly the same, and thats boring. Original dubstep is awesome, I.E, THIS.

Quarl responds:

Thanks sir. I'm not sure if your familiar with para, but try out some of his dub: n/258082

You got it...

For not knowing what Dub Step is you pretty much hit it right on the head. It's like a slower darker psychedelic electronic music. It's all about bass and keeping a rhythmic flow so the listener feels like they're going somewhere.

yay! The intro to that first song reminded me of every dieselboy mix I've ever heard. Thanks for the links btw.
