Another old song, so the quality will be there after.
In this one i was just playing around with my keyboard and some effects, and happened to create this.
I then had a TON of fun experimenting with different kinds of instruments to create a backdrop.
To record i just an old keyboard we had laying around, a flute, an acoustic guitar and a mandolin.
Editing program was as always Audacity.

You and your ambience lol

I don't know what it is about the two songs you had requested, but i'm liking them. Very soothing, relaxing.

I'm normally one for a lot of variety and randomness, but this is a nice little change of pace for me. I sense a lot of dissonance throughout to add some tension to the chordal movement, especially in the vocal like chorus thing. The bird sounds where a nice little add on.

This is essentially a bunch of noise, but to my ears its beautiful and i like it, keep up the good work dude. =3

I guess that's a good description of the soundscapes i try to build, essentially a bunch of noise, but is somehow beautiful in it's dissonance and chaotic structure.

Thanks for review :)

Nice Ambience...

Its a calm and soothing piece to tell the truth, even though it didnt have too much of a build to it , but then again, there's ambient for u...

this made me imagine a post apocalyptic world where there was only one survivor, lost on the vast deserted continents, trying to find his way back home.

It seems to me taht this is a very dark piece, which is exactly why i like it, and as coop said, this could be used in several parts of flash movies. Also, this could be slightly shorter as the whole ambience gets a bit repetitive after a while so maybe making it a loop would be better.

Overall, its a decent piece and if u arranged some slight negatives, ud go far.

Good ambience

A very nice, calm, soothing piece, that gets the listener into a nice tranquil environment, presenting images that remind me of tranquil lagoons and a nice smooth flowing river basin that has small animals residing on the bank, without a care in the world.

I think that this is the sort of piece that games developers might use as the end credits roll. Not that it would be solely reserved for this sort of use, as there are bound to be scenes in movies, possibly as people get transported by river or by air to one destination or another. Of course, I'm only being speculative.

As I said in my review for your darker, flip-side piece, you could do with making this shorter and looping it, as this will give people that use it a much better chance to make it usable for their own requirements.

Thanks, nice picture you painted there :)

Once again, i'm aware that my songs are long, but it's a result of a natural desire to keep going, it's also a long time since I made this song, so NG wasn't exactly on my mind when I made it, also i'm not good at looping, as you call it, I don't really know what it is, my experience with recording is audacity and my instruments, have never felt the need to loop, but i'm sort of interested in how i might incorporate it into my music.

Thanks for the review :)

Calming

A very calming and well put together song.
Makes me think about new-age ambient.
Very meditative.
Good use of sounds that enhance the whole experience.
Great job! :)

Back when i made this I had no idea what new-age was, or meditation, but i agree that it fits.

Calm

Yeah, the title says it all. XD

This is indeed a very calm submission, but I like it. Sometimes you just need someting to calm down and this song certainly helps.

I like that you put so many different things in the background. I nearly missed half of those because I was busy doing other things. But then I read your comments and listened to the song again, and boy, those background noises make the song even more interesting.

However, that effect you use at around 6:57 doesn't really fit there in my opinion. It kind of disturbs the relaxing atmosphere, almost turning it into some kind of "David Lynch"-like movie score.

Also it's too bad the sound quality is a bit low. It all sounds kind of muffled, but I guess that's because your ways of recording the music are kind of kimited.

That's part of the challenge of making ambinet/mood spesific music, if you're not in the mood to be calm, you're just not gonna pay attention to the music, and I really appreciate you taking the time to really listen to my music :)

I must agree with you on the 6:57 sound affect, it was a random loop i found on the internet a long long time ago, back in those days I was annoyed by the restraints i had, so i always tried to find other elements to put in my music, and without thinking to much about how it would fit the rest of the song, i just slapped in on there.

Thanks for review :)
