Time fly's and people you grew up with as a child are no longer the innocent pals of that past life.
Now they might have their own children, live oversea.. some maybe even have joined the army and died somewhere, the older you get the more you become aware that you are alone in time, perhaps you cannot even relate anylonger to who you were, and in the fast world of today.. its easy to lose track and end up drifting in time, and reminiscing the time when life still had certainty's no matter how weak, you were a person among them.

edit: track reuploaded do to velocity edit. :)

You have the score, but dynamic is still missing.

I like how you progress the song. The 1:58 part is touching there, and so as other parts of your song, however, if you can adjust the note velocity and add some more delay, and also some strings in, this would be much more touching. The song still sounds like a MIDI though.

So your melody is already satisfying, the rest is just the realism in music.

Calamaistr responds:

currently exporting to mp3 i worked on the velocity im not going to adjust the track with delay, since i would play this track exactly the way it sounds currently.

Thanks for your review, check back in a bit as ill overwrite this file with the velocity adjusted one.

Its alright.

I agree with the guy below me, it REALLY sounds way to computerized. In an instant i knew this was a generated piano. But if thats the sound you were aiming for you hit it dead on xD. But if your aiming for a more realistic sound, i say changing up the BPM every 4 bars or so. (Just by like 1 or 3). And also change the velocity of the notes, so you can make the softer sader parts sounds more sad. Cause it sounds very very robotized if its the same velocity note every time. If you dont get what i mean, take a listen to my latest piano solo (rEtarded) and my other solo too (Fuck me hard) And you'll get what i mean by changing the velocitsy and tempo.

But other than that, i think i heard some off notes in theres somwhere. In the chords. Fix that up, Add some reverb to it, and LOTS OF IT. it'll make the piece stick out a whoooole lot more. Trust me. haha.

Well thats all ir eally have to say. Keep up the work. Maybe review my piano solo too? :3

Calamaistr responds:

I already understood what was meant, i know that the strenght of a note matters but do understand that the exporting to mp3 with this piano (its a VERY heavy piano vst) takes ages so its not fun to rework on, ill give it some thought though. Because you're right when all keys are the same strenght it does sound computerised.

On the off notes needing a fix i must disagree, every note is as it should be, especially in the chords.

I dont know what you mean with reverb, do you mean that notes sound longer? If so then i also disagree on that, there is thought in each key's lenght.

Ill look at your piano solo, even though they have absurd names.

Hmm...

Some parts were ok, though others sounded a bit too unharmonious (it almost sounded like you randomly placed notes in some parts).

Also, this sounds very computer generated. I think it would be better if you used a midi-keyboard for piano songs.

However, I can hear it has a story to tell, which is good.

3/5 , 6/10

Calamaistr responds:

Most of my music sounds unharmonious the first time untill youve went trough a loop or two, then it starts to make sense because i use unconventional transitions and stray away from textbook chordprogression, this track is.. afterall meant to portray extreme lonelyness and gloom.

Also, the piano used is a professional and very heavy vst i recieved from a ng member, it cant possibly sound that static.. i think you mean that the whole track is built with mainly short keys, but it is meant to be so. In fact, if i would play it on an actual piano i would play it exactly the same.

thanks for your review.
