This is something I'm working on for a duet of a classical flute and a jazz flute. For those of you who aren't avid flute fans, apparently there's some intense rivalry concerning the "breathy-ness" of the flute sound. Who knew.

Anyway, I was really excited about the kind of trip hop feel that this has, while at the same time being an interesting performance challenge for the 2 flute players. Feedback always appreciated!

I really liked it. Were you influenced FFIX? At 0:53 it's got the part of exact progression as the FFIX intro screen music (watch?v=cjVjH0ge65A).

It is nice to have almost a more modern, higher quality version of a childhood favorite. Even without the FFIX nostalgia, though, it's well mixed and arranged, and is a great track.

ProudAardvark responds:

Never heard that before actually, but ty for the review :D

I must admit that I'm really digging this track. It's slow, peaceful and it does it with style.
The slow bass riff combined with the flute and the background instruments... Really cool =)
Keep up the good work bro!

ProudAardvark responds:

Hey, thanks so much :D

Such a very soothing piece of music right here. Can keep it on loop and not get bored with it because its simply so good. All the intstruments compliment each other perfectly to get the nice sound you made. :)

I could easily put this in this mental image... like you're in a little middle-eastern town, surrounded by desert, with a small oasis nearby, while observing life as it flows. Thanks for letting me know of this, it rules ^^
It's very delicate, and the beat doesn't ruin the atmosphere
