Here's the full version of what I uploaded (and deleted) yesterday.

I didn't have my headphones with me when I made this song, so I'm not too sure if it sounds the way I wanted it to sound =___=.

Anyway, I hope you guys like it ^__^.

Hmm.

Great intro.
My feeling is that this song should have stayed as an ambient track. Though I understand the feeling you were going for, it just relaxed me so much at the beginning of the song I didn't want to the song to end. Then when the trancey stuff came it in kind of woke me up from my pleasant slumber.
Maybe make a version 2? Just ambience? Just for me? :).

SFaPiL2 responds:

I ruined it after the intro =__=. I was simply too rash in finishing it, I didn't want to see it rot in my hard-disk.

I'd seriously want to fix it, but I don't have the time lately... but when I will, I'll make it ALL ambience... just for you, lol ^__*.

Ear candy anyone?

Nice buildup from the beginning until 1:40, but your beat really drops in unexpectedly at that point; i think it might have been better had you faded it in more gradually. I did like the way your synths never really took a back-seat to the kick punch beat though (not that I'm a big fan of kick punch, myself).

Really well mastered track, all around and with a great variety of synths that don't get too repetitive. However, at 3:05 you have this one sort-of drum roll and you ramp the volume up for the finale, but if i may humbly suggest trying fruity compressor, i think it might achieve the 'hard' sound you were looking for over that section without having to turn the volume up so much. Anyway, it's a fairly small complaint for 5 seconds out of 4 minutes, so nice work!

SFaPiL2 responds:

I know what you mean *sigh* =__=... I really ruined it from 1:42 onwards...

To be completely honest, I did this song in separate days... the first day was from 0:00-1:42 and the rest was rushed another day (simply because I couldn't stand seeing it rot in my archives). It's a flaw I have which I should fix.

About your suggestion, I'll give Fruity Compressor a try, but before that I should definitely find some tutorials on Youtube or something.

Thanks for your constant tips.

P.S. You're way too kind with the score, btw ^__^.

Awesome!

Needs some work for sure! BUT it's very good.

I imagine one of them scenes in a film where you cant hear anything but it just plays a song. You know the really epicly emotional one lol.

I imagine an alien invasion of Earth and underground scientists working on humanities first spacecraft and some futuristic weaponry.

You missed a serious oppurtunity with this song though. The solemness at the biggen is perfect!

The improvement i can give you is...

Slowly transform the slow sadness of the song into a superduper hyper chase scene DnB style song. I think that would be awesome. It would be perfect if you started to break the hyperness in at 1:42.

You already got it setup for the break-in. Just try it! trust me =O

SFaPiL2 responds:

Yeah, I get what you mean. I noticed that my build-up at 1:42 got ruined by the stuff I put after v__v.

I'd love to say I could do what you said, but I'm pretty bad at DnB... hell, I'm pretty bad at making proper beats in general. (Btw, do you know of a website that might help me with this?)

Anyway, thanks for the advice. If I'll ever have time (and inspiration) I'll try and give this song some DnB personality.
