Still never the beat-minded one, I decided to sit myself down and start from the percussive track and work upward. This has yielded complete failures in the past, but hell, gotta exercise the methods.

Though I do consider this loop a little abrasive, it worked out. Distortion was largely taken away from the beat and given to a bass line instead. It resulted in more solid percussion and worked well, but it punches the decibels a bit hard.

And to keep with the 'Moonshatter' candor, I topped the beat and bass with a dreamy synth. It had polarizing effects, but I normally try to challenge my own vision of music anyway. Win for me, though I don't expect many others to agree.

What it sounds like is someone walking down a dark alley with a katana about to whack a huys head off before an epic battle of the ages.

Love the title too.

BrimstoneVomit responds:

Funny, some years ago I wrote a short story with a scene to that effect. I wouldn't call it a "battle of the ages," but Japanese swords and decapitation was involved.

Thanks for sharing.

not bad

ive heard better short loops, but this one is pretty good. it sounds alot like the sounds from some of the darker zones in legend of the dragoon.

That was just not good, please do something better and post it

BrimstoneVomit responds:

Never assume that someone submitting their material will work toward the approval of any individual besides themselves.

Otherwise a fair statement.
