The city has been under siege for months and it is time to get out. Only broken roads and constant mortar shelling stand between the people and safer ground.

well ill be damned..

Who would have thought Forsaken will bring me to this. Even though i was a little boy back then and cant remember (pretty glad about that), i can tell you with great respect, it is beautiful to see someone so far away being moved by that horrible war so much to make a song. and a great one at that! feel proud, you have done a wonderful thing..

I'm thankful in a way, and Sarajevo is too.

Thank you very much!

Hmm... makes me think of some documentary...

either that or a movie about Iraq or something, but it fits Sarajevo too... Heck, any escape from a city under siege by a modern army is fitting with this music...

Original! =D

Excellent work! It's very different to what I'd expect from you, and not particularly to my taste, but its still an excellent piece. And I really appreciate how much work has been put into it. Keep it up DS.

Full O' Win

I know nothing about the siege of your inspiration, but can without trouble, imagine a daring escape... The citizens of a great town grab their most prized possessions, children and loved ones as they head for cover. Emotional however very groovy with fantastic beats. I was interested upon hearing the first bit of the intro, a nice relaxing synth, but when that first drum beat came in I knew this was gona be epic :) I love groovy beats that build up in parts to create interesting rhythms. And when the bouncy bass synth introduced itself it just sounded so cool!

The beat change at around 2:00 was very effective, creating a heightened sense of suspense and hurry.

The added percussion part that came in at 2:10 really got my foot tapping. The panning here was a nice touch too.

As usual, a great use of the orchestral instruments. I wouldn't expect any less from you lol. The themes are simple and catchy, whilst layered with interesting and tension building chords. The brass in the background sounded really awesome, and when the brass suddenly came into the front of the track it felt really explosive and dramatic. Then in other parts the strings would come forward, washing over you like a refreshing cold shower. Strange simile I know... but that's how it sounded to me lol.

What I love about your music is that it's very varied, whilst keeping an effective and catchy theme, especially when it comes to the orchestral parts. It really makes for interesting listening.

What ever you do, don't stop making music. I'm adding this to my favorites.

D3vilsheep responds:

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you appreciate my "varied" style. The image of the people running for cover is what I was going for in most of the piece so congrats for getting that visual. Thanks again for the excellent review!

This theme was perfect for a war scenerio where the villages have to seek refugee while military defence do their best to protect their people. You know the movie Blood Diamond? They should have used this theme. Fits in well

Another well-composer song yet again. Don't know much about the siege of Sarajevo but this makes a nice tribute.

D3vilsheep responds:

Thanks Zackie! I appreciate your reviews very much. And you know Blood DIamond also popped into my head while listening to this so I totally understand.
