pretty good
As you delve deeper into the caves you begin to smell the oil and steam. Mechanical parts begin to surround you as you tread even deeper into the cave. Suddenly, the parts awaken and the factory begins working.
This song is meant to be in a game that I will hopefully make in the future. The stage this song would play on is an arms factory that has been hidden inside of a cavern.
This is one of my best songs yet. I hope you like it! And as always, any tips/advice is much appreciated!
pretty good
Industrial cavern
0-0:29
I can imagine the main character entering a cavern in the dark with only a faint light far away in the cavern. In the distance you can hear the machines working but only faintly.
0:30-0:47
Then the lights flick on and it’s not a rock cavern like the rock tunnel leading towards it. It’s a whole steel warehouse. The character is surrounded by machines on many production lines which slowly and jerkily power to life.
0:48-1:58
The machines start working all around the character. Arms pass parts forward, crushers smash pieces into shape and welders cause sparks to fly around. Conveyors move things along the ground while hooks and belts move them along the ceiling. The character is looking around warily while dodging moving machines.
1:58-2:03
The two steam whistles sound one close by and one out of sight.
2:04-2:24
Most of the lights go out except for some at the very end of the warehouse and the character hears the sound of machines moving slowly in the distance and out of site.
2:25-2:43
A massive robot starts to slowly get brought around a corner of the warehouse into view, carried by one of the ceiling belts. It then gets dropped onto the floor standing and facing the character. It is a bit in front of the light but still in darkness so the character can only see the silhouette. The character slowly backs up a bit very nervously.
2:44-2:52
All the machines stop working and the whole warehouse goes silent.
2:53-3:01
The robot's red eye slowly blinks on and focuses on the character but the rest of the robot remains powered off. The character freezes completely.
3:02-3:45
The robot whirrs to life and jerkily its arms and legs start moving. It gets smoother and starts advancing towards the character, red eye focused only on the character. The character panics and starts running away.
I hope this is somewhat what you were going for because this is what I imaging when I hear this. It sounds amazing great job!
Pretty cool description! I love it
Really love the song man. Has a great feel to it but there's one thing that kind of bugs me. You want something to sound like a factory environment then you need to add some more chaos! Banging metal is a great place to start, add in the occasional industrial Alarm bell and you have a very good background atmosphere. Also, (and this might just be my opinion) I think it should be faster, or maybe gradually get faster! Most factories IRl take several minutes to warm up before they start producing and so your song should "warm up" in much the same way. Thanks for your time reading this! See-
--ERROR CODE 2079-- YA Ya ya a... *kzzt*
There's a part in the middle where everything winds down and gets quiet and then starts up again. Slowly but then getting faster. The end of the song is pretty chaotic with a lot of different sounds. I wanted the sound effects to be part of the song, rather than just ambience
WARNING: This review is under judgement.
Yup
oh yeah
For some reason i always imagine a large casasm flled with clockwork gears when i hear this for some reason. . . . .
That's sorta what I was going for.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
