Hello! This is my first of, I hope, many submits to Newgrounds. I'm a Chilean psychology student who loves making his own music :D I've been playing traverse flute since I was 15 years old, started on my own and got myself a so-so flute. I play guitar since 2006 and I've been recording stuff since early this year. Currently I have about 12 song concepts to develop.
Well, I started recording in an independent way by January 2009 and am still learning how to achieve better quality. I used a Freeman electro-acoustic steel string guitar with a capo on the 5th fret, directly connected to the line-in of my laptop. Then I recorded the flute right on top of it, added a bit of reverberation here and there, cut some mistakes and voilĂ !
I know it's not the best song around, but I like it as it is and I've been working on it for a couple of weeks now, but I don't want to redo it until I get a good flute and a good microphone. By now the song is a bit shorter, with the guitar capo in the 3rd fret and a new structure, but the main concept is the same.
I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoy making music! Please review with constructive criticism! I hope to learn a lot from the most experienced users here :D

Unexpectedly happy!

Not sure what instruments are used, but whatever they are (flute, guitar?), they really tune up the tune. It sounds Irish or Scottish or just Celtic somehow. It has a happy oldskool feeling to it. Sounds good. Keep it up!
