So this is a completely new style for me, but I believe it turned out pretty interesting. It's a mix of ambient, DnB, and IDM in a nutshell. Took me about 3 days to finish. 38 patterns total, using 4 synths and a lot of drum samples. The quality should be pretty well as it has a 4ms latency and when I exported it from FL Studio I did so at a 256 point sync. I didn't notice any clipping at 4ms, but if you hear any please point it out and I will go back and correct it. Also, sorry about the file size if you want to download this. I know 6.9 Mb isn't too bad, but it could be a lot lower. The bit rate is 256 kb/s, that's the best I could get without exceeding the 8 Mb limit. I would have prefered to have it higher, but I'm not too great at compressing.
Anyway, a little about the song. I started this 3 days ago during a splurge of random inspiration and after finishing about half of it I gave it the title Greed. After thinking, I've decided I want to make 7 songs total, each themed after one of the 7 Deadly Sins. I'm going to be experimenting with different styles and mixing styles so hopefully each song after this should be unique in it's own way.

I like the nice pads and the chord progression. The drums, well they are not that nice to listening. Ever heard of easy listening? Well this is deffinately not that lol. If you take the drums away and compress the length of the song, it would sound awesome. And add a melody. You could have a nice ambient track without those drums. Well keep practicing and keep up the sw33t work! That thing at 1:57 is awesome!
Thanks for the review and I appreciate your comments, but I don't think I want to make this song an easy listening song. Something about the word "Greed" doesn't make me thinking easy listening. Perhaps I'll try taking the drums down a notch though and see how that turns out.

really nice
this has a very original sound! quiet eery, something about this track has kept me hooked. the reason i gave a 9 is that i find there is something lacking - possibly a bassline (DnB;Dub step style) to go along with the percussion - and maybe some hats would go down well!

Yeah I thought I about adding some hats and a bassline, but I got lazy and I was afraid it would take the song in a different direction and when I finished what I had (without the hats and bassline) I really liked the feel of it. However, I will go back and try it out with some hats and a bassline to see how it plays out.
