EJ - Rendezvous & Dog Statues

Hey there! Just putting up two newer songs that are on my album, Edgar Johannson's Missing House. This one's called "Rendezvous and Dog Statues" because when I wrote the beginning, it made me think of a spot in Shibuya where there a statue of Hachiko, which is a dog that some festivals are held around. It's a popular meeting spot, apparently, and I just used it as the title. Whee.

Anyway, if you like it, please download the whole album off my newspage :D Pretty please?

I really like your piano melodies. They always seem to flow very well... Especially this one. I liked it mucho much.

The percussion was very... right. It didn't seem too repetitive cause it was in the background mostly, and so it seemed just to flow well enough.

I'm not sure what the synth sound was that came in eventually, but it was very subtle and suiting.

Like mr Pizza said. very ambient, yet very far from it.

I like it good sir. Like it lots :D

Piano is my forte! (pun intended... you know... pianoforte?) Glad you liked it, it's always nice to hear that about a song after all the crap I make and never show anyone :D

Thoughts about the percussion, I agree. Unless it's a main focus, I'm trying to keep it sort of simple enough to sit there but complex enough not to be a nuisance. Or something like that.

The synth was a quick and very simple Thor thing I whipped up in ten minutes of experimenting, I think it sounds pretty nice :D

Glad you like it sir Caleb!

Sounds sweet. The song has ambiance, but I wouldn't call the track ambient. It's very good though!

Barkbites :D

Thanks! I really don't know what else to put in under though, besides rock? I guess it fits more there. I'll just toss it into misc. to be safe. I'm glad you like it :)
