Yup, summer has been and gone,
no more swimming or mowing your lawn.
Autumn is coming, there's nothing you can do,
apart from waiting 'till it comes back to you.

Great Song!

Reminds me of a time of of peace.. would also like to use this track in one of my novel's scene =)

However, I do agree, the end was kinda cut off =P

Still a excellent piece to me, will u working on finishing this anytime soon? ^^

Tomppaah responds:

Thank you! :)

Sadly, I can't do that. I lost the project file for this one when my harddrive crashed last year :(

Sweet tune!

I love classical music like this! What vsts and such did you use to make this by the way?

Tomppaah responds:

Cute tune - except ...

This is a nice tune that I tried many ways to use and I'm bummed. I cannot use it in my projects.

The ending builds to this climax - then dies. I wish there was some kind of 'finish' to it.

It expects to be looped and even with sound editing - I can't get the loop to end nicely.

Sorry - a great tune is unusable because of the ending.

Great tune - until the end.

Would have had a -10- if not for the ending.

Tomppaah responds:

Aah, i understand exactly what you're saying :) This tune is not nearly finished and, as you pointed out, it should have a continuation before it goes back to the main theme again. I'll try to continue on that dark moody feeling you can hear at the end, make it a bit sadder and even MORE moodier.

Thanks for the review. It's the only way artists learn right? ;)

Really nice !

First off : the strings sound quite nice.
But i think you could alternate the sound of the cellos a little bit by alternating the velocity a little bit for every note (not much).
At the fast part at 24 seconds i recommend to take a legato or normal violin vst instead of a spiccato - so it doenst sound so chopped ;)
All in all the other instruments flute, oboe(or is it a clarinett ? lol), basson sounds very good and fit at their place.
The ending is also really great !
The melody sometimes reminds me at Vivaldis pieces orPachelbels Canon in D - which i dont mean bad :)
Very creative song !

Hope you understand me xD

Tomppaah responds:

I'll be sure to try that bass velocity tips, as your suggestion to use a legato vst at the fast part really helped. :D It started to sound quite nice when i switched toi the sustained violin. Thanks. ;) Haha, and thanks for the Vivaldi and Pachelbel. :D

I appreciate taking your time to write this review :)

Love the strings! I agree with ac371, the instrument quality is amazing. The melody is pretty good, too. Sounds like it could be apart of a soundtrack from a movie.
It gets really awesome at 1:34.

But it doesn't really give me the feeling of autumn or fall. Makes me think more of spring. I dunno, the only seasons I really ever see around here are winter and summer, so I might have a pretty biased opinion. I always imagined fall to be kind of melancholy and thought provoking. This songs seems too happy for autumn.

Hmm.. You might be right. But it all depends on how you look at it ;)
If say, you fell in love during the past summer you would be flying on clouds for the coming months, even if the season changed from warm and sunny summer, to a somewhat colder and less sunny autumn. In my case, this tune represents my feelings for the past summer, which has to be the greatest summer so far, and all the great memories from it. :)

Music is all about emotions. If you can't feel anything while listening to a tune, you're not really hearing it.

Thanks again! :)
