Hi there! Back with a better musical mix, I think... This recording has a much cleaner, less muddy sound than the others I've uploaded here. Now, I know this is one of the most remixed songs in the world. As well it should be. And I know there are tons of better mixes on NG -- I've heard them myself. But I thought, what the hell, I'll upload it in case anyone finds it useful.

Truth is, I've been getting a little rusty with my arrangements lately. So it's back to basics: copying the original as closely as possible, then expanding on it. That's yours truly on the piano and ocarina <3 Forgive the kinda sloppy performance. It's been a while since I've played >.>

Recorded on August 14th, 2009. Polished in FL Studio and Sound Forge.

I do love a good performance

For being rusty on the piano, you did great, and I say that with over a decade of piano experience. Not that there was that much to the piano, but what was there was played splendidly. The ocarina wasn't bad either. Better than I can do. Sounds like you have a better ocarina than me too. I'd like to get one like OoT obviously, but mine is a cheap piece of plastic that sounds like a recorder. So to me, you sounded pretty good on it. On top of that, I really like remixes that are true to the original, but add a little something, like you did with the piano and ocarina. You did a good job mixing them in with the rest of the piece. I especially loved how you incorporated the piano into the piece. As for the ocarina, it's definitely the right instrument, but I felt it should have been a little higher, though if that's all you have, it works just fine. I just think a higher ocarina would have sounded a bit better. You came in very strong with the ocarina. But near the end of the performance I felt like there were a couple of sloppy notes here and there. Overall better than I could hope to achieve on the ocarina, but I'm just saying, being the perfectionist I am, I'd have kept going at it till every note sounded just how I liked it. But that's just me, and nonetheless you did an amazing job with this.

Way Cool

I liked that feel; it was very much what I think of Kokiri Forest--children running around, nothing overpowering, just playful. And I loved your choice of instruments. I'm normally not one to listen to an instrumental, but this had your own personal feel. I especially loved the part with the piano and the parts with the Ocarina. Those was fantastic.
A+
