Long Live Tiesto! :)
Tiesto is a bit to commercial now adays, but i still enjoy his mixes. This was a great remix! I could really feel that beat. I am thinking of using this for the upcoming senior prom... we are having a techno themed prom and its gonna be sweet. *one long trance song ever 5 songs* Anyway, im gonna throw this gem at the music committee and see what they have to say.
GREATS:
Repetetion should only be repetitive if the synth is cacyh, just repeating a beat over and over again gets quite obnoxious. Howeverm you managed to cut off the beat just at the right moment and switch to the classic tiesto build up that ended with of course the beat coming back again with that catchy and addicting synth! WELL DONE!
I could really feel the dance beat to this. I wanted to get up and whipe out some glow sticks. At 4:34 you included another layer of sounds and thats what really got me shaking. Very good buildup skills.
GOODS:
The sounds were very pelasing to the ears. Only a few were slightly annoying, but only a FEW. *some cracks and other organic noises inside the beats*
IMPROVEMENTS: If you want to really experiment with remixing, then you should add a large solo that you created yourself with the main sound the song uses. Like that dudududududud thing that you hear throughout the whole song could easily have another layer of a kickass home made synth you made yourself, adding a completley different and original tune or something to the song while still maintaing that Tiesto beat in the background. Then that would throw some nice variety in your remix.
Although, I am sure you wanted to keep that Tiesto influence by not having TO much variety in there, since Tiesto rarely has a large variety of synths in his songs. Thats just the way he remixes.
Great job! Your sir have talent.
