This is a Garageband song I made a few years ago. It has a lot of bass, and for some reason it came out very quiet. Turn up the volume a lot.

Instruments used:
-Gorai Atmosphere (lead track)
-Izmir Temple (or something)
-Orchestral Strings (very low key)
-Big Electric Lead (for those sounds at the end)

Inspired by RE4. That game was amazing.

The perfect ambiance: atmospheric, emotionless, simplistic.

Your blended instruments very well, man. Props. The only thing I didn't really like was the way the really low sounds were too loopy... I could have used a better adjective, but what I'm trying to say is that I hated how it came in with the low vibrating, then faded out.... then came in at the exact same key over and over again. Change it up just slightly as you go along. Feeling like the song is stuck in an endless loop is never a good thing. Even for ambiance. Since you're trying to make it a sort of scary ambiance, I'm assuming you're also trying to make it suspenseful. A good way to build suspense in any song is just to go up on your keyboard very gradual. That way, as it builds, they instinctively expect something to happen at the climax of the climb, and when nothing happens, they get tense, and keep waiting for something.

This piece was actually inspired by a very specific RE4 song. I'm not sure if you played the game, but there is that area in the first chapter of the game just to the left of the town square. This is the area where you find the first blue medallions. The song playing in the background isn't suspenseful, but has a way of making you feel very alone. It has a lot of high pitch wind-like sounds that add too it a very dark feel, even in daylight. That's what I was going for.
