It's certainly faithful to the original
It sounds pretty indentical to the original it was created after, but this isn't really a good thing. First of all, the songs changes are way too drastic. Yes, the original sounds pretty much the same, but the sudden changes were much quieter, and far off in the background. It was used as an ambiance, not a lead sound. This is really your only flaw in the remake. When you take it to the foreground of the song, the shifts in structure are jerky and uncomfortable.
If you really want to bring it the foreground, you'd have to mix it up and make it a proper remix rather than a remake, such as finding better ways to make transitions to the new melodies, blending them all together to make them sound good in the same context, etc.
I'm by no means saying this is bad, because, correct me if I'm wrong, but you were trying to make it sound as close as possible to the original, right? Which I think you did very well, aside from bring the ambiance forward too far.
