My first submission to NG! Greetings from a town with 22hr daylight!
Anyway, this song was inspired by a great remix by Sonicmario entitled "Don't Stop". I believe it was originally from some sort of video game, however I have no idea which one as I don't play video games ever. The melody was very simple, but intriguing, so I decided to experiment with it. I wanted to write a piece to bring it out of the techno genre and into a more conventional big band setting like the one I play in, as well as set up conversations between instruments. I also added a new counterline and drum set. All the while I endeavored to keep the simple, energetic, and happy nature of the melody, while adding a little more depth and dimension. I'm not sure what genre this fits in, but I put it in video game as I believe the original track was from some video game.
This is still very much a work in progress, I would appreciate feedback as to whether or not to continue developing the song. This is the reason I decide to post after all! While the piece is all my original work I credit Sonicmario and others for developing the melodies.

This song is actually from one of the Sonic games on the original old school Sega Genesis. Actually, I think it's from all three of them. Anyways, you've done an excellent job. It's easy on the ears, and it has no vocals. I'm sure vocals would ruin this perfect song.
Thanx! I will be submitting another song along the same lines sometime soon, my friend wanted me to do the same thing with another video game song, which he called Azure Lake. Maybe this is another Sonic game song, or not. I have never played any sonic games so I don't know, anyway, if like this one I would enjoy any critique you could give of the new song once I post!
