I'm not a fan

I think you've taken a pretty good melody and beat there and with the addition of the sound effect in the background, it sounds so weird, that it's out of place. Perhaps what you needed to do here was to throw more of an up-tempo sound effect, or slow down the original track that you overlaid the sound onto.

Not that it should take away from the melody, which is a decent start - possibly needs a little more in the way of a beat, but it's a good foundation to begin with. A shame that it doesn't loop better, because it was certainly getting along the way to setting yourself up for a good track, but there's just something in there that slows it down a tad.

Nice atmosphere

At 0:17 it sounds weird when the main melody suddendly stops. But I like the sound effect you used every now and then. It sounds very futuristic, which fits very nice to the atmosphere the melodies and the drums create.
I also like the melody we can hear very faint in the background. It has a very creepy sound, which gives this song a nice extra touch.

Also, the song loops very nicely, which I think is a good thing in this case.

Too bad the song itself is so short, though. It sounds really promising, as if it was a lead in to a longer song.
I give you 8/10 because even though the song seems to be quite minimalistic you manage to create a very good atmosphere with it.
