A semi-improvised theme in the sense that only the first theme had been worked on prior to this recording. A good listener might notice that the first theme sounds a lot like Neighborhood #2 (Laika) by the Arcade Fire, that actually is a complete coincidence, which I noticed after playing the theme the first time. Thankfully, there are enough differences to call them two different songs. However, Arcade Fire is a great band and I am honored to think that I came up among one of there themes by accident.

The second theme came about completely by accident as I realized that the song was not complete at where it stood and needed some contrast to resolve it. At the spur of the moment I went into what might seem to some and even me, an odd progression. However, it seems to work pretty well at wrapping up the piece.
