Well, this is my first (partial) rock song (it's rock/techno mixed.) I took the liberty of trying to make it sound as real as possible without ruining it, but that doesn't say much considering it's Slayer, BooBass, FPC, and magical8bitPlug. But I went as far as my crappy built-in plugins could take me, and I hope you like it for the melodies and not necessarily for the voices. And yes, the feedback on the guitar at the end was there on purpose.

Like it or hate it? Leave a review. (Constructive criticism, please.)
And above all, DON'T VOTE IT DOWN JUST TO GET YOUR SONG'S RANK HIGHER. I hate downvoters.
Thank you.

EDIT 1/7/10 (7/1/10 for non-Americans): Wow! #25 on Best Tracks Ever! I didn't think two of my songs would get on this list within a week.

Close man...

Next track you do that carries this theme: be clear as to what it's supposed to be. No offense, but the mix between rock/ techno is a hard one to balance and it's not quite there. My advise would be to cut out more techno and add more of that kick ass rock stuff you have in the beginning. That rocked man, but where did it go?

Also, sure up your bass a little bit more. Don't try to sound authentic if you're not going to be authentic. Take what you have a run with it. Tell people that this is in fact an electronically created bass beat and make sure they know. It almost sounds like someone is there on the drums, but I know no one is and that disappointments me. It sounds like you gave up and took the easy way out. If you give someone something to listen to that presents itself exactly as it is without trying to mask its identity there's no confusion and it comes across with more style. Layer your bass with the rock beat, then take the electronic stuff and do it on the guitar. That sound would blow people away.

I like it though. Unique without sounding terrible,

- Khonos

Meh

I didn't care much for the obnoxious electronic noises. Also, good job on getting on the top all-time board with a song with only 4 reviews. Well, 5 now.

Good Job

That's some nice work and I recognized the plugins you used right away(I play w/ FL studio alot). and of course Phishi isn't familiar with FL studio. It can get frustrating when people don't do research or anything about music creation and just give you a Zero just cause they think you got it off somewhere.

flight39 responds:

Thanks for the review! I can understand why Phishi might have made his mistake... after all Slayer default sounds like a lot of other songs up on the Portal.

Pretty Good.

I agree, the electronic didn't really fit, but besides that it was pretty good. I can't wait for more.

flight39 responds:

Hey, thanks for the review.

started like 8mile

i dont the computer old sound realy belong :O

flight39 responds:

I think I agree with you on this one - I might have wanted to replace the square loop with something else.
Yeah, it does sound a bit like 8 Mile. I never really noticed that.
