Since it's not safe for me to continue posting all my original stuff on NG, I decided to to covers of songs I really like so I can post them without possible regrets for doing so. This song is one that I've liked for a while, ever since I saw the movie Donnie Darko. It was originally done by Tears for Fears and redone in this slower style by Gary Jules for the movie. I was on iTunes a while back and saw an American Idol version of this song and took a listen and I really liked it. So I decided to use some of what was unique about that version for my own cover. Most of it I followed Gary Jules' version, added just a little bit of my own, and finished it the same way as the American Idol version.

Thanks a lot. When I put this together I actually used Adam Lambert's version from American Idol for reference because I wanted a more orchestrated feel to it. Then I coincidentally met him in Hong Kong a few months ago and had him listen to this version. How awesome is that. lol
Long time no hear dude and again your awesome voice makes this song sound better than the original in my opinion. I am starting to dabble with FL studios so I hope to get out some more of my own songs again. Maybe at some point we can do some work together :D

Wow...this actually gave me chills, I love this song too, and I sang it too, but you're voice is really incredible, and compared to me my voice is crap (you'll have to trust me on this). Usually when I listen to a song a I like I vote for it right away, but your voice made me slow down and actually listen to this song the whole way through before doing anything. If Awesome was a rating I'd give it to you. ^_^
