Is okay

Well it starts off pretty nice, but as it gets towards the middle it produces sound that hurts the ears. with a little bit of work this song would be great.

fallensoul289 responds:

Yeah it seems unfinished but thanks for the review.

Space out the instruments a little more, so we can listen without having to think too much about what's actually playing.

This has a lot of potential, but I couldn't really understand what I was listening to because of the mash of different sounds.

I enjoy the fact that you want to put as many things in this piece as possible, but unless it's organized, not much will come from it.

However, despite all that, I found it nice to listen to. It's certainly different.

Too messy

I'm sorry, but this needs a major overhaul badly - I would certainly suggest that you head back to the drawing board with this and start from scratch. How many different tunes did you want to try and play at the same time?!

When more than 3 of these individual sounds merge together at the same time, it becomes quite messy and it's impossible to enjoy them as the individual pieces, or enjoy the piece that you've thrown together as a whole. Try taking some out and adding new ones in, not stapling more and more over the top, as it become unsustainable very quickly.

Perhaps start with the sort of game that you would focus the music for, then work to that, chopping and changing the pieces of the puzzle as necessary.

The overall sound was quite nice, but I didn't like how you just kept on bringing in instruments, it isn't very original, and it ended up really cluttered. The beat at the start was quite good, but it took a while before a proper melody was established, it was just sorta percussion for most of it.

The ending was pretty dull as well. I think you should have put more time into it, but it just looked like you gave up then.

Sounds familiar

Strange, I think I heard something like this before, but it wasn't your song as I remember reviewing it... but here's no review from me, so it can't be your song I listened to.

Anyway, I think the idea to use 8-bit sfx to create the song is really nice and you did an awesome job of creating a nice beat and an even better melody.

It starts off a bit slow but gets better and better the more sounds you added.

Only the outro needs some more work. It just ends too abruptly.
