[D106]He's a Pirate Dance Edit

One of my ultimate pieces! This combines the "He's a Pirate" meldoy and bassline with the dance genre creating a new league of dance anthem (at least I hope). I also converted the melody from "He's a Pirate" into 4/4 from 6/8 (or 3/4 if your primitive). Hope you guys like it!

Why 6/8?

The choice to use 6/8 seems pretty useless considering the original is in 4/4. And its often easer to switch to 2/2 from 6/8, with an 8th note become triplets. That aside, there are a TON of other remixes of this song... NOT a new thing at all.

dreadnought106 responds:

Dude the original is in 6/8 u idiot :L this isnt in 6/8 u moron :L cos its dance :L That aside I know its not a new thing... well kinda at the time but now no:L Thanks for the reiview :)

Sweet!

I like it, I was expecting some kind of lame just blind copy over from the orchestral piece to techno, but you did something very unique and innovative, although I agree, the bass at 4:40 and on gets a little heavier and does not blend well with the rest of the song. But you made a very good re-interpretation of an excellent theme song, now I challenge you to try and do the same with the motif themes from Lord of the Rings, and please message me if you do...

dreadnought106 responds:

Hmmm I'll try :L Now that would be a challenge I'm willing to take up :P

Oh... Very Original!

Good:
1.Love the begining + the build up was perfectly made.
2.The trancy synths are great!! just love them.
3.At 2:45 the melody just changes,very unexpected.
4.At the end,you go back to the original melo, great job.
Bad(well not really xD,just stuff i thought was'nt neccesery):
1.Gets repetetive at some points.
2.The bass part that started at 4:40 was really uncalled for.

Anyway,great job :D

dreadnought106 responds:

Well it was kinda an experiment and I thought I'd try my hand at a break :)

very good

I like it all, i think the melody loses a lot of its excitment being in 4/4, however ( it loses a lot of pace). The Voice used for it is excellent, nice and powerful and the rest aren't half bad either.
I'm learning this on classical guitar atm and hearing as a dance song makes me wanna try it out for myself as something like this.
So + Love your style and the hardhitting voices
+Good song choice
+The parts weave together very nicely
- Slightly repetetive, even though the melody is developed.
- the original melody just sounds a little slow in this context to me, if i had heard this without knowing the original, it wouldn't probably sound pretty fine though, just flouts the expectation i guess.

So, yeah, sounds really good, keep it up :)

dreadnought106 responds:

Thanks. bringing up the pace i was going to have a second variation of the melody where it speeds up but it was already 6 minutes long... anyways thanks for the review!

Awsome!

I love this song man! You had me listening to it over and over again! I love the mixture of flute and pad at the beginning. It's a perfect length, really nice work, keep it up!

dreadnought106 responds:

Thanks! I thought the flute sounded similar to the one in the movie!
