Hey.

Heres a nice Electro/Progressive track, with a few subs and a Heavy Beat.
I tried to create a minimal style but without it being too Repetitive.

Enjoy. :]

- Update: Mastered the Bass and Hi Hats and little more, And EQ'd the Higher End a bit to make the Mix Less Muddy.

Eh.

It isn't as full as it should be. Sorry, but the sidechain seemed really off. Though the transition halfway through caught me, it really did.

Make it more full, and it's great. :3

AlexCo responds:

Yarp, its an older track. More of a piss-about with samples and stuff.

Great!

The thing I enjoy most about a song is the intro, if it is appealing I fall in love.
Your bass kicks are really well mastered, I read the comment lower about how you made them, do you mind if I try that?
Anyways, The song throughout is very smooth, the bassline is great , really love the electro/progressive mix. Mind you give me some tips, some pro crit is always welcome and good for me. Cheers.

AlexCo responds:

Course you can try :]

All I can say is just to listen to the genre you want to make a lot, pick up general techniques and practice, then start adding your own style.

Thanks :]

tip

needs to be "meater"

AlexCo responds:

because you make sense.

Hey man!

Well, a few things come to mind right away when trying to review this track.

For starters, the 8bit you threw in there, the Toad VST, REALLY, didn't fit. At all. It just appeared in the song and sounded really random. I liked your synth for the highs but your bass could have been better. Nicer EQing and definately some more Oscillators included to add it a little bit more flavor.

I was really impressed by the hihat's EQ but disappointing when you took away the punch in the kick for that breakdown. I think that you should've kept it the way it was the entire song. Think of Call On Me by Eric Prydz. The only other thing I think it was missing was a good snare/clap. It's really missing that punchy feeling. Again, EQ alot to get that.

Transitions and breakdowns were awesome and hardcore and I really liked the vocal chopping around 1:51. Keep up the good work guys but remember not to overuse Voice Clips because they end up sounding extremely amateurish unless you have them custom made :)

AlexCo responds:

Aight man. :] Thanks for the constructive crit. I'll take it into acccount if I re-do this. :D

Hmm, The kick is layered and I just took out a few layers in the breakdown, so the Punch is more Powerful when they're placed back on in the Chorus.

Thanks again. :]

Yeeehaaa!

Wooohoo !
Damn i love this:P I see u got a new account and stuff:P
I like that kick so much man:$ Its very subby and bassy.. :P I've got alot of problems with bassy kicks:P i always overpower them;P
Very nice bass there bro:P I only think the higher note in the bassline is a bit offbeat ? Or am i wrong here? :P Damn man u improved alot since ur dance songs!
The intro is very very very very good, it aint repetetive which is very awesome, the playing with the kick is gr8:P
Then 1.55.. Woah! Sure is the best part in the song here:P Lots of power all at once, fascinating man:D
There are no complaints bout this here, all i can say is that it is very very good, and very very well mastered and mixed:D

G'day m8!

Review my demo too:$? (A)

5/5 : 4.26 / 5.00 (+ 0.061)
10/10

AlexCo responds:

Cheers! I tend to Mix my Kicks at -6dB and add a Sub under them around -10 to -18dB.

All the notes in the Bassline are Offbeat, but They're all sidechained the same so It could just be you. :X

Thanks for the Nice Comments and stuff, I'ma go review your demo now. :D
