Not much to say... Took me about a week to write and not that long to put on the computer.
If you can think of a better name for the song, feel free to give me ideas.
This song will be orchestrated after I learn how to orchestrate properly.

More changes, sound and composition

It sounds kind of bleak for the first minute when it follows that progression and has the repetitive melody going. If it had vocals or a sort of lead instrument, it would justify repeating so much. This sounds more like it would belong in the background of a rock song instead of a straight solo piano piece, and doesn't really merit a lot for listening value.

Also, it sounds like you're using Edirol's piano? That can be a beautiful piano sound if you just change up a bunch of velocities. Right now it just sounds like everything's at one level, and when everything is peaking, it reminds me of a Dragonforce song. Also, the ideas in this seem separated from each other, and it makes it kind of sound like a sandbox at the transitions.

I'd delve into jazz and classical if you were really wanting to create really beautiful and unique pieces!

Pure-Metal-UTA responds:

I actually agree to all of this, this wasn't my best pieces even though it took me a week to write. I personally like Memories of the Stars better.
And yes, I did use Edirol's piano, i actually really like it (Edirol's piano, just to clear that up). Now that I have a midi cable, i'll probably make alot of adjustments to this song, and record it with my electric piano.
Thanks for the review!

My personal beliefs

I say it's about the creativity and imagination you put into your music. Most Techno and electronic music uses no live played instruments but it's still there and yet it can still strike emotions.

I love minor scales and I enjoyed it. You picked out every single note and writing isn't easy. Good job with this.

Pure-Metal-UTA responds:

I like minor scales alot too, I feel that it can bring about more emotion, either happy or sad than a major scale can... when I'm writing that is.
But like Kor-Rune said, it is pretty much a sandbox of ideas. It could have progressed better, and lead into alot more epicness.
That isn't to say that I'm not glad you enjoyed it, I really am. But there is alot of space for improvement on this song.
Thanks for the review!

Some personal beliefs

Piano VST's should NEVER be used. Piano should always be played live and recorded. How musical is it when all of the notes sound exactly the same? I'll tell you what happens, the piece turns out bland and has absolutely NO emotion. It really doesn't matter how good the melody is, it will ALWAYS lack emotion unless you play it live. This piece is proof of that. Nice melody. Crappy piece. Sorry

Pure-Metal-UTA responds:

So the reason it was crappy is because it was a piano VSTi? I can understand that, if there's more reason behind it, I don't understand.
I completely agree that the Piano VSTi's are very limiting, and there's not much you can do with it besides play out the melody. One issue I have with playing it live is that my left hand sucks when playing fast on the piano, and I really need to train to use it better. Once I have that taken care of, all my piano pieces will be recorded rather than put on the computer.
Thanks for the review!

Nice

Lol 0bomb :/ that sux dude. The pianoo in the intro, is a little random, and it could use some reverb or something.

I like when the piano builds up, very nice job on that.
The piano is good sir, but make a new version with orch too :D, that would make this piece shine !

Helth
5/5

Keep up the awesome work

Pure-Metal-UTA responds:

Thanks for the review.
I put the intro in there because that's mainly how I got the idea for the song, messing around with the g minor scale. There's supposed to be more improv involved at the beginning, but I used a piano VSTi.
During music class, I will be sure to ask my teacher how to properly orchestrate to get these on the go.
Thanks for the review, I'm really glad you enjoyed the song! :D
