I think the second time the synth comes in, would sound less repetitive if you moved the piano more to the background with the synth in front of it [sonically ofcourse] and added a melodic lead guitar upfront.
Nice piece, overall.
That's a good idea, but I actually have no decent guitar sounds. If I find one or make my own, I'll try it out. Thanks for the suggestion!
This was awesome.
everything sounded great. The piano and drums really caught me and drew me in.
Idk what it is about the melody, but it's a very familiar sound. I don't think Ive heard it before, but.. idk I cant really explain it. It just touches me on some unknown level if that even makes sense?
The synth towards the end of the song was real good as well, kinda gave it a bit more life as the beat of everything picked up.
very very good
although its simple its an instant FAV in my book :D
Thanks! I know what you mean by familiar-sounding, I always end up thinking I'm accidentally remixing something. :P Anyway, I like familiarity! I like touching people like that... wait. I didn't mean it that way... |:)
I'm glad you liked the synth, but I still think it needs a little modification. Maybe a little filter and a volume cut would work... I'll try to keep it as close as I can!
Thanks for the fav, you're a dear!
Nice piano-centric piece, if somewhat repetitive.
Opens on a very nice sounding piano loop, followed by an electronic bass sound and some interesting, almost progressive drumwork. It's a bit repetitive, as it's essentially built around a single looping piano sound, some plucked strings and synth lead sounds break the monotony a bit towards the end... I really liked the plucked strings, but I wasn't really big on the synth lead, I think it sounded a little harsh given the other elements in the song... I really liked the ending though, kind of surprising, but in a good way...
Yeah, I agree, it is a bit repetitive. I just think the repetitivity is okay if you've got things to support it with. I personally also like the dulcimer (that's what it's supposed to be, the plucky thing), glad you thought so, too! And yes, I really need to switch out that synth. It's got a bit too much saw and not enough sine. Yup.
Thanks for the review!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
