It does sound like a very intense boss fight.
Kind of makes me think of "Extreme Encounters" from KH: BBS.
I like it.
A little bit of a generic boss fight theme, but it has that frantic edge that would go well with a turn-based game, freaking out the player a little bit and pushing him/her to action despite the fact that it is a TURN-based battle.

Not bad.
While I say not bad, I mean to say that technically this piece is constructed well enough. Aside from the 16th-note shaker sounding a bit fake, sound quality is really nice.
But I think what this piece needed the most was something to spice it up. A melody, or playing around with the chord structure. As you said, "generic". Generic doesn't mean bad, but this doesn't have something unique to it, something that says that "this is a masterjiji composition."
If you find your style, even when you do so-called 'generic' pieces, they will sound unique and worthwhile.
Keep at it.
(blinks) upgrade your speakers. it's a snare drum.
eh. my thing is ridiculous brass, but it could use some more variety, yes.
yeah.
oh, i will.
Something missing
I think theres something missing, try adding a lil bass into it so it sounds much better, but apart from that its really good :D
the main reason for that is the trombone synth for GarageBand is so bloody WEAK. there's no grunginess to the tone, you cant get it to splatter.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
