Horray, I'm still not dead! Just incredibly bad at getting myself to work on stuff is all.

This is the cover song to the album I've been promising for about 7 months now, being developed within both Audacity and Reason. The preview captures the song's mood, but I wanted to hear the people's consensus on the style it's presented in. (That means ratings please.)

I was also debating back and forth for quite a while before December as to whether or not I should use spoken word. I have decided not to. I just don't think my voice is good for it. =/

Anyway, listen, comment, etc. The full version of the song (along with the album) should be done rather soon.

Had Its Plain Moment.

It didn't do it for me.

I understand your idea for this piece of work was to push something across. To give people a feel of what you were portraying. But at that same time, It was basically silence. With a tiny bit of noise, and the occasional beat, But otherwise I could barely hear anything. And when I did, It wasn't amazing.

As I said, I see your trying to give off a certain vibe from this. But I just don't think that this works as a single audio submission. If it was used as background music to a certain scene of a game or movie on Newgrounds, It would fulfill its duty perfectly. But as a single audio entry, Not doing it for me.

But because I could see your setting a mood, And I could feel that mood coming alive. And also that this is up for grabs for flash artists who wish to make something of it. I gave you a 5.

Add some more... Music?

TwilightShade responds:

Yeah that's what the song is building up to, more music. And considering I put preview after the title, it's a fair assumption that the song is going to continue going. I'm adding parts and making it build up from noise to music, and then I plan on having it switch back or intertwine with noises; I haven't firmly decided yet.

Thanks for the lengthy review though. Not everybody has to like what they hear I suppose, but I hope the finished version reaches out to at least somebody.
