Not too shabby

Although the strings make it sound more Pirate-sea-shantyish than Steampunk, even with the clinks and tha clanks. Still, a nice tune all around, makes me think of a cloudless day on some clockwork beach.

A clockwork beach? That's a pretty cool image.

Truely steampunk.

I really like this song's concept. The use of mechanical things to enhance the song; the cranks, the bells, the subtle watch-like ticking; all really add to the environment.
That being said, the beat is just at the right speed to make the song seem slightly disjointed, and there are some odd transition catches where they don't sync up perfectly (I'm looking at you, 0:51). The drum added at 1:04 also is a little out of place, being so loud in a quiet, slow song. These are all just tiny, minor things, but together they do rob the song slightly. Still, it's pretty good. It was nice to listen to.

Snooglebum responds:

Yeah, the syncing is a problem. The reason there's syncing problems is that I did not use any program except audacity, So it was hard to make everything sync up. Personally, I like the drums, but I agree that they at least need to be quieter.
