I removed the toms because i frankly didn't care for them much and they weren't adding a whole lot. i also tried to break up the redundancy a little by adding more variants to things and not beating said variants to death - the song's been very slimmed down, hopefully for the better. The trade-off is that I ended up using most parts, like the distant bell/piano thing, considerably less. The background synth is still largely there, but does break for a bit on the loop and I put some minor variants on it as well, and I also tweaked the mastering and EQ all around, so hopefully that helps.

That said, any feedback on either version is always appreciated, and I'd love to know which people prefer, as at this point I feel it's a bit of a toss-up.

The song is made with a specific sort of area in mind - it's for a game idea I've been bouncing about in my head for a couple years now, and the area itself is basically your generic floating islands in the sky sort of thing. It was kinda inspired by a similar situation and it's accompanying song in Crono Trigger, but I forget the name of the place so... yeh. the song I'm talking about has been remixed about a million times however so I imagine most people will just know what I'm talking about by my use of "islands in the sky" in the same sentence as "Crono Trigger".
