Ultima Eternus - Part I

Share

Author Comments

Musical rendition of my life since 2008. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia and affective disorder, but I've decided to fight the diagnosis and try to prove the doctors wrong.

Ultima Eternus is my proof.

Enjoy.

I have no words

If anybody rates 4.5, they're deaf.

Secondly, I think that nowadays, musicians have lost touch with that sense of having a "single greatest masterpiece", like Rachmaninoff's 3rd, Beethoven's 9th, and so on. It's musicians like you that give me hope for the future.

Also, I just love how the entire album is one coherent piece. Each part feels like it belongs with the others, as though it were a sonata, or something.

And the emotion, too. There are parts where I feel like kicking arse, others where I'm more thoughtful than I've ever been, and to be perfectly honest, when I finished listening to the entire album through, part 1-V, that last 30 seconds made me cry. It was so beautiful, the end of 63 minutes of constant eargasms.

Thank you for this truly legendary piece of music. I will most definitely carry this with me through my life.

Law of Talos?!

Did any of these songs play in Law of Talos?
Sounds so much like it, the songs in it were amazing!
Either way, your UE series is full epicness. I need more. More!

Lashmush responds:

Yes, the Law of Talos finale features Parts I, II and III.

Thanks for the review, and be patient. It will come.

Epic

Words do not suffice me to congratulate you and express my admiration for your musical abilities.

If you are a retard (as you said down there), I do not know what I am then.

PS.: I am downloading your monumental Ultima Eternus, liked every part of it.

Schizophrenia...

I hate it when doctors find that a person has this or any other mental disorder. Schizophrenia specifically because it is the perfect thing an artist needs to make a true piece of art, yet they go and 'cure' it anyways. They think different than 'regular' people. Who cares? Maybe they LIKE it. Maybe it HELPS them. Ways in which we could never understand unless we had it too. Like you. I'm sure without it you would have never made anything close to this, or any of your any other work the way you do now. Helping something by killing it is never a good idea. In-fact I WISH I had it. The ability to see and think things a person otherwise would not is an artists dream. Its why he is an artist, to show what he/she sees, hears, feels. Society has a way of trying to get rid of something they can't have. Never let them. Show them what you feel inside and what you see, but never let them take it. To kill such an imagination is indescribable. Its murder. Murder of the mind. Keeping working toward your expression, and forever let it live on.

Lashmush responds:

aka "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Schizophrenia is specifically being unable to perceive and comprehend reality.

Contrary to this, reality is whatever the general public decides it is. If we wake up tomorrow and a rock in Connecticut is decided to conclusively be God of all creation, then that is reality if enough people agree on it. To them atleast.

Are they crazy for believing this?

Without a doubt, but anyone who's thoughts and beliefs are fundamentally different from yours could easily and with next to no effort be classed as psychotic, delusional, mentally unstable, any of the infinite vague labels put on people who's perception of reality is "incorrect."

To be quite honest, I'm leaning more and more against solipsistic ideologies than ever.

In any case, I do not have a schizo-affective diagnosis. Instead I'm bipolar, I have ADD and atypical autism.

So basically I'm not crazy anymore. I'm a retard.
