The Lea

This is an idea for a grassy field song in a game called Rising Legends. It's really simple, and it's in the key of C major. I Think I've added all I can to this peice, so except for a few minor fixs to the articulations, this may be the final version.

This was really fun to make, and I can't really tell if the panning is good or not because of these crappy laptop speakers.

Anyways, please listen, review, and enjoy!

Nice work.

I was watching tv when I played this song, and it matched with everything I saw.

Darkmaster603 responds:

lol cool, glad you liked it.

Great performance, a bit repetative

I see that one of my predecessors already pointed this out, but you need a break somewhere in the song. The melody is really nice, but just by alternating the backingtrack to it doesn't leave me inspired to listen to the whole song. Try to find a refrain or something that the song can alternate into or out of. I like the overall song though, 4/5, 7/10

Darkmaster603 responds:

Yea, I'm working on making the breaks in this song. The problem is it looses it's momentum with teh breaks, so I'm trying my hardest to fix this!

thanks for the review and help.

Well Now :)

To me this in one of your best works I have ever heard for you yet, and it have a great looping to it. Keep up the good work man.

Darkmaster603 responds:

Thanks bob!

Near perfection!

I could definitely see this in a video game! The music sends off a very nice vibe and beautifully paints a nice landscape.

However, I would like to have at least one break in the song. Right before 00:48 it would be nice to leave the bells out and simply go with the piano score. Because right now the song just keeps on going and going and going on the same pattern. Adding some soft breaking points creates variation and also makes the song a lot more easier to listen to.

However, it still is a great song!
Good job! :D

Darkmaster603 responds:

Hmm, I see what you mean. I'll try experimenting with that some more. Thanks for the review and constructive criticism!

(P.S. that's a Harp, not bells! XD)

Great Song!

At first I saw a Map Screen instead of that Grassy Field, but as the song kept going I not only saw a Grassy Field, I saw a Vast Meadow enchanted with many different creatures both kind and hateful. It puts a person in the sense of adventure when listening to it. It certainly has captivated my ears. My only question is the title of the song. Don't get me wrong it's unique and it sounds like a great title for the name of a Grassy Field, you know what I'm guessing that's why you picked it. This also loops perfectly which all in all is perfect.

Darkmaster603 responds:

Well, Lea means grassland/meadow, and I couldn't really think of a title for it. So instead of "Grassy Field", I decided with Lea =P.

I'm glad you liked it though, it's meant to be the song for when you're walking around in the woods/forest area.

Thanks for the review!
