Please give any critique and likes about this song. It was made in Garageband.

I was trying to make a song to represent the growth of a character in a machinima that I'm making. I don't want to reveal much about it, but I will say the basic goal of this song was to show a basic expectation of what his life is (represented with the piano) and what it truly is and what it will become (represented with the strings). I'm not entirely happy with some of the drums in the first half, but I'm very fond of what I picked for the second half of the song, where the strings come in. Fit's well with the type of drums you would expect to find on an Earth-bound level in Halo 3.

But enough of me critiquing my own stuff. I'd much prefer to have yours.

blech, garageband

but it sounds nice (at least the intro), the drums are too loud, and the noise that happens every 8 beats should be pulled back a little.
the strings are really MIDI, so make them a bit quieter.
i dunno what i can say about the compusure, seeing as it was garageband, and so you jsut mixed and matched the chords and patterns, but with some EQ work, this could be O.K.
also, there is some dissonance at points when the strings are playing (extremely loud, btw), so see if you can do anything about that.
i vote 5 on everything unless it's utter crap, and so you get your 5.
but really:

Listening to it while it plays...

I'd have to agree that your drums in the first half, don't go that great with the song. Around 2:32 I particularly thought the drums were gorgeous (the mute ones). Around 3:30, when the strings kinda stop a little and then continue, It doesn't feel right. I think it needs to flow right on through.
Just my opinions.

Ah yeah, now I see what you mean about the strings. Thanks for the Review!
