Ah, Sonic the Hedgehog. How I miss the good old days when you weren't killing people with swords or turning into retarded werewolves, completely forgetting what running around a loop and picking up power-shoes felt like...

A very simple loop I threw together in a short amount of time. I'm obsessed with having instrumentation that blends. As much as I love remixes of this song, I like my ears not to bleed from high pitched synth-leads. So here's a gentle, uptempo and mellow version of Green Hill Zone sent to you with love.

I like you ;)

this music is a soft techno

Again, this is quite different that the many other Green Hill remixes that I've heard. It's not fast-paced and energetic as the other versions.

I still remember playing through this stage. As a little kid, I kept running into badniks and falling into spikes lol. Even to this day I still do that. XD

I love how mellow this song is! Really something I can chill to, and I like how all the instruments blend together perfectly.

My only problem, like ellebirdy23 pointed out, is that there's no leading melody. It's great that the instruments blend together well, but you need to make the leading melody stand out. But then again, that's your personal preference.

Great work! Keep it up!

Note: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I hear something wrong at 0:33 and again at 1:17. Is that a skipped note, or was that intentional?

Was actually unintentional, which I'll go back and fix probably at some other point. I shall work on a stronger lead line next time. Thanks!

Good--Maybe Not My Thing--But Good

I'm kind of like you; I love mixing real instruments to make them blend well, but unlike you I like mixing them with synth to make something that makes you take a step back and go "Whoa. Wasn't expecting that."

Anyways, onto the review.

I thought that the instruments blended well with each other. It would be good for a background like it is in the Sonic game. It looped pretty well, which is important for background music.
But I personally like to have a leading melody, so I can't say this was completely my style. You did execute your idea well, and I'm not taking too many points off for personal preference.

Great! Appreciate the constructive feedback!
