an awesome collaboration of piano and techno beats
again you have created a wonderful song by fusing great techno beats and a piano melody that is soulful and slightly sorrowful at times. some of your songs use a similar style and there the ones i think you've done the best on (blue city lights, crystal neon). many people just make techno songs that are all about the beat, but it is the melody that distinguish songs from each other, and you do an excellent job of that good sir.
one thing i like about this song, is that part of the melody (if it makes sense, the melody that is further away from the ear) is on the offbeat and that gives the song a very nice sense of something that is missing or being searched for (not from the song, but from life - which is good!).
another nice feature of your songs is that you like to play with tracks either being included or not. i like that parts of the song will have sections of the melody drop out, or the beat, so that i can better appreciate all the different levels.
1:22 - 1:35 i really liked this new melody
1:36 - 1:50 this section has a very early 90s club music feel (a la real mccoy and the like) and i dig it!
3:39 - 3:52 very nice bridge
3:53 - 4:06 nice accumulation of tracks prior to lead out
the only critique is that the beat is the same for pretty much the whole song. i would say that there should be slight more variation with how the beat is involved in the song. whether this be for different sections of the song or within the ending measures of a section that lead into the next, but after a little bit the beat becomes repetitive and only the melody is changing.
