The automations just weren't used right. The pulling sound (or moving past frets) on the strings did not work well. The song's style itself seemed to want to be more ambient and soothing, but the volume created a stress on that. Kind of "Make it louder for the crowd, but soothing". Just doesn't work well. If you made the instruments impact sound (velocity moreso) less, it might have worked.
