how high do those notes go? Sounds like a lot of triples are used in this piece..

You may need to crank up your volume just a bit to hear it properly. Also, it picks up after about 30 seconds, so just keep listening.
I originally wrote this for my friend's trumpet competition, but that won't be for a few more months.

Yeah I can see where your coming from with that. But when you've heard the piece as much as I have, the notes tend come out quite differently for me than most other people would hear them.

I also use finale, but only have notepad. and i could use your help figuring out how to make my compositions into mp3s. thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't think Notepad allows you to convert the music you've made into MP3s. It might be possible to give your Notepad file to someone with the full version of Finale so that they could change the piece into an MP3 from there.
