Hello, newgrounds. Now this shall serve as a suprise to you... A collaboration between Marks-A-Lot (a.k.a. [V]), and myself, [IZK].. isn't that wonderful? Heh.

So, as the story goes, Marks-A-Lot was offering to collab with someone (or co-lab.. the awesome way he says it.) And I told him that I would love to try and collab, considering that this would be my first time that me and him collab.

So, work began on this little project about a few weeks ago, probably around Feb 10th or so. He started off with a little bass and a small percussion beat. I thought it was totally epic, but it was just a bass and a beat. Not much to work with, but it was something.

SO... I began putting my all into this. Made it into a well planned out ambience song. Sent it over, and he immediately loved it (IMO). He thought a few touch-ups were required, and I left that to him.. sadly he wasn't able to do much due to the fact that he was pretty sickly, so I took over the creation of the song for the majority of those 5 days or so.

About 2 or 4 days pass, and he comes back with a better version, imputting the leads and that sexy bass that you will hear. He was even able to clean up my drums a little bit more, and helped mastered everything (since I did most of the mastering as well) to like... perfection (again IMHO). Although, he kinda just left it in a loop, so I helped finish it off. Not the best, but I like it.

So here's how the song is split down:

Part 1: from the intro to 1:59 is awesome ambience (you'll hear his leads there)
Part 2: from 1:59 to 2:52 is sexy darkness time (with his hawt bass)
Part 3: from 2:52 to 3:37 is the switch back to ambience
Part 4: from 3:37 to outro is the beat switch to Marks-A-Lot's beats, and then the final few square leads shall be heard.

We worked almost an entire month to bring you something cool, so I hope it pays off.

As always, criticism is greatly appreciated. Whether good or bad, I'd love to know what your thoughts are. Enjoy.

Marks-A-Lot: for his help and major advice on some of my projects. Without him, I wouldn't have improved as I have doing this project. (He says that same about me, so we both learned a lot from each other!)

Andy (Marks-A-Lot's brother): for the title of the project.

Family and Friends: for their large support of my creation of music. I love them ever so much.

Luls. Glad you liked it.

not bad

this is a pretty tight dnb, the song really starts to pick up when that bass kicks in at about 1:56, that bass is pretty cool sounding.

one thing that kinda bugged me a little bit is the fact that the same kick/snare was used for the whole song, i mean its not that big of a deal but it would be nice to hear a little variation in terms of drum instraments, the rest of the instraments were pretty nice tho =]

Jenni-Harry4eva3 responds:

Well, in drum and bass, the kick and snare tend to sound the same, and it gets pretty difficult when trying to use a different set of drums to let the idea flow, so I just like stickin to one thing really. But, I'm glad you liked it =D

The chase

I could imagine this as like chase music, you know when you're driving and then BAM let's race, and the race goes on and on! And it just pumps you up. I really enjoyed this !

Jenni-Harry4eva3 responds:

Well I thank you for enjoying this song my friend =). Keep it real~

Reminds me of

Ape Escape! Nice tune you've got here.

Jenni-Harry4eva3 responds:

DAH! Another ape escape fan! :D I haven't realized... maybe I should listen to this again...

Interesting enough as it was it had a nice beat. Something different then I'm use to listening to so it was put together nicely. Honestly it was a really good beat. No complaints on that. Great work.

Overall 9/10 and I gave a vote of 5 since I can see well rather hear how well this was put together.
Great work and keep it up!

Jenni-Harry4eva3 responds:

Well I thank you my good man. I'm glad you liked it. I can see you like how it was structured :) We did well on that aspect. Thank you.
